What are the alternatives to bankruptcy?

Answered By Tracy Carlye, Editor

You can always try different alternatives other than bankruptcy alone. These following methods are also effective compared to bankruptcy. • You can do nothing. There is no need for you to do any action. You can always make a judgment proof meaning that not anybody who sues you can have anything from you because you do not have anything at all. • You can take advantage of the federal and state debt collection laws to protect you. • If you have some income and assets that can be put up for sale, you can use this aside from bankruptcy. • You can negotiate with other creditors or with other agencies other than bankruptcy. • The advantage if you work with a credit or debt agency is that no bankruptcy record will appear on your credit record.
